the facilities

The SFWS has been set up in Sector 26, Chandigarh and occupies 5 acres of land, amidst picturesque surroundings. The school building has been designed by Mani Chowfla, one of India's leading architects. Their past work includes the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi and the Sri Ram School in Gurgaon.

In addition to ample play field areas, the SFWS building is divided into three units:

the school

The school has large well-appointed rooms. Rooms are built in clusters, with easy access to outside areas. Separate activity rooms, a well stocked library with books and CD ROMs, an amphitheatre and a computer lab have been provided exclusively for the students. Subject laboratories are designed to provide practical exposure to students. A large open-air theatre, when constructed, will be the hub of activity, interaction, workshops, seminars and informal lectures/demonstrations.

visual and performimg arts

The arts centre will be developed to provide state-of-the-art facilities in learning various forms of art and craft including painting, pottery, sculpture, puppetry and printing.
The performing arts centre will be designed with separate studios for dance, music and theatre. Latest sound equipment and theatre lighting systems along with the choicest collection of musical instruments, would give students an excellent platform to hone the creative sides of their personas.

aquatic sports complex

The sports facilities include a soccer field, a basket ball court, tennis courts and a swimming pool. A large multi purpose hall will be used for gymnastics and other activities.
